Airwerx began operations in 2003 following the breakup of the original business model between StarBand Communications and Echostar (Dish Network).
Following a 20+ year career in the business PBX and key systems market, Steven Thompson (owner) decided to move from the concrete and asphalt city to the country.
As with most who choose to leave the metropolitian lifestyle, amenities like DSL and Cable Internet are no longer an option. Attempting to surf the Internet using a dialup connection was terrible at best. After a little research I decided to install the StarBand product and become a dealer.
Over the last six years, I've had the honor to meet and become friends with several people who, like me, live in the wilderness. Some are connected to the electrical grid while others are not. Some have a single computer while others have many. Some want service in a single building while others need service in their mother-in-law cabin as well. I even have one customer who needed a camera overlooking a birthing stall in her barn.
I'll never lay claim that Internet via Satellite is the best high-speed connection to have. If DSL, Cable, Wireless or Cellular are available to your home or business, go for it.
However, If you're like me with no options other than dialup or Satellite, StarBand powered by Spacenet is the best of the best when it comes to performance, reliability, and U.S based technical support. My entire family has used this product in our home since I started this business and outages are very rare.

Airwerx is authorized to sell StarBand equipment anywhere in the lower 48. All StarBand dealers have access to a national installation company for field support outside our normal state(s) of operation.
